Thanks for the comments - I have tried NodeBox - and liked it quite a bit... I think I preferred Processing because of the built-in 3D capabilities, and the language/syntax (more ActionScript like than Python).
One of my favorite things about Processing is how lightweight the editor is and how flexible the coding environment is compared to doing experiments in AS3...</description>
