Fields of Purple - experiments with Papervision3D

March 29th, 2008 : Nik Rowell

I realize it’s been a while since my last flash experiment covering Audio Visualization with ActionScript… but fear not - I haven’t been taking a break. Very much the contrary :)

Fields of Purple

I’ve been spending a lot of time following the exciting development of Papervision3D, an open source ActionScript 3.0 library for creating 3D effects in Flash (see my earlier post). Pretty amazing. And it keeps getting more robust!

Special thanks to Seb Lee-Delisle for his inspiration - see you again this year at Flashbelt, Seb… Can’t wait!

Is this something where I can manipulate the pixels into perfect alignment to see a secret image?

Nope… but if you can keep it still enough, and if you stare at it long enough, a 3D image might pop out at you. But I haven’t seen it yet ;)
