Christmas Eve Lites… an AS3 Class!
December 26th, 2007 : Nik Rowell‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, just my keyboard was stirring, along side the mouse …
My parents were nestled all snug in their bed, and thoughts of a Flash experiment just popped in my head;
Right out on the deck glowed a string of bright lights, which made me reflect on past Christmas Eve nights;
The colorful lights made a twinkly glow, some twinkled quite fast while still others were slow.
I took a few photos and fired up Flash, and now I present my new AS3 Class! (What is a ‘Class’?).
… to summarize my rendition of ‘The Night Before Christmas‘: I was intrigued by the string of Christmas lights out on the deck (at about 12:30 am). I took a few photos and decided to try and re-create my experience through a custom ChristmasEveLites ActionScript 3.0 class (done entirely via code and complete with ambient music).
Below is the photo that inspired the experiment.
